What's Inside a ThermaCELL Heated Insole

 A flat lithium-ion polymer battery embedded in the ThermaCELL insoles provides power. The remote receiver in the insole heel receives the heat setting signal from the remote.
Water-Resistant Fabric Liner

A water-resistant fabric liner protects the heated insoles from moisture. This non-woven fabric keeps the insoles protected from the elements.

Insulation
Heat escaping through the soles is one of the main reasons feet get cold. But Heated Insoles have an insulated layer between your feet and the bottom of your shoes or boots. That layer keeps heat from escaping.

Electronic Assembly
The electronic assembly of ThermaCELL Heated Insoles contains several components: heater, batteries, control board, and antenna. These are the inner workings that provide heat to your feet.

  • Heater
    State-of-the-art wireless thermal technology embedded in the insoles provides heat to the Heated Insoles. The warmth of the insoles creates heated boots or shoes—whatever footwear they’re inside. This heat is powered by high-tech, rechargeable batteries.
  • Rechargeable, Integrated Batteries
    Lithium-ion polymer batteries, the thinnest, lightest-weight batteries available, are integrated into the insoles. These are the same type of batteries used in mobile phones and laptop computers.
  • Control Board
    The cutting-edge control board is the “brain” of Heated Insoles. It receives signals from the antenna and interprets them. It then controls the heater based on that information.
  • Antenna
    The antenna receives signals sent from the wireless remote control. It passes those signals on to the control board.

Molded Cushion
The top layer is a molded cushion that contours to your feet. This design provides comfort and support.


Remote Control Operation
Heated Insoles feature remote control heat setting operation. The radio frequency system used in the remote control is reliable in a variety of outdoor environments.

Each remote control is uniquely keyed to one pair of insoles. So your remote control will operate only your Heated Insoles. (That’s an important feature when your companion has heated winter boots, too!)

Charging
Smart charging technology ensures the battery is fully charged in each individual Heated Insole. It’s like having two individual chargers.

Batteries can be recharged up to 500 times. Each charge lasts up to 5 hours. That’s up to 2,500 hours of turning your regular winter boots or shoes into heated winter boots or shoes.
